Disciples traveled
Quite cautious
Minds dim, perplexed
And dubious,

Starving for clarity
And solace,
Surprised by one
So clueless

By recent events,
Tremulous.
But hearts soon
Burned most zealous,

Removing scirrhous
Callus
In hearing of
Abraham, Moses

And patriarchal
Sukkoths.
Did request with
Fervency pious

Unto the
Unknown Christ
To break bread
Without gratis.

Redeemer revealed
His situs,
And unlike
Doubting Thomas

They believed the
Ancient promise.
They will ne'er
Forget the lessons

Taught them on
Their road to Emmaus.
