Christ's Bride

May benediction adorn your brow
With tentacles of grace
And heavenly stores of love allow
Majestic, sweet embrace.

Might hallowed arms enfold thee tight,
The day's struggles appease,
Imputing tender, kind, respite,
Respecting fixed boundaries.

Could euphonious music's strain
From grandeur's lucid voice,
Thy spirit's light wholly enchain -
Your heart's pure core, rejoice,

I'll wait inside my sole corner,
Eyelids closed with peace
Hopeful that my own soft prayer
Can make your joy increase.

Sleep on into the waking dawn,
Night shadows swiftly flee.
Bid all care-worn fears thus begone -
And go with God, Beauty!
