At first I thought that God spoke
The voice seemed seraph's wings
But from my spirit it evoked
Excite enabling
Me to invite Forbidden words
Dripping With sweet surprise
The imitation speech did blur
My entranced ears and eyes
Promise of eternal life
Beyond imagining
Hand-fed to my starving ear
Light's image made it sing
But then -
Loudly announced from mountain high
These secret words were rung
And then I knew that I would die
My whispered secrets sung
Themselves before all innocent ears
Just derision stamped a mark
Upon my stifled breath
Voiceless, exposed, writhing, and stark
Deceiver wanted death
